ASRock has announced a 6900 Radeon RX XT
|In about two weeks, sales of the flagship Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics accelerator will begin. This new product will be available for an indefinite time exclusively in the AMD reference version. However, this does not prevent third-party manufacturers from releasing this video card under their own brand. One of the first companies to announce the reference Radeon RX 6900 XT was ASRock. |
The manufacturer did not make any external changes to the cooling system of the new product. Even Radeon branded stickers on the fans remained in place. The graphics accelerator is based on a full-size Navi 21 XTX GPU equipped with 80 execution units (5120 stream processors) and the same number of blocks for accelerating processing of tasks related to ray tracing in real time (Ray Accelerators).
Like the lower-end rDNA 2 carriers, Radeon RX 6800 XT and RX 6800, the AMD flagship received 16 GB of GDDR6 video memory, as well as an additional 128 MB of fast buffer memory Infinity Cache, which increases the effective bandwidth of the main memory stack.
In the reference version, the Radeon RX 6900 XT model will take up 2.5 expansion slots in the PC case. The manufacturer claims a power consumption level of 300 watts for the new product. Recall that the same indicator is stated for the Radeon RX 6800 XT model.
