ASUS prepares video card Radeon RX 590 ROG Strix
AMD plans to introduce the Radeon RX 590 graphics card in the near future. Now the resource VideoCardz with reference to its sources in the ASUS reports that such a video card is almost prepared.
According to the source, ASUS is preparing a video card called Radeon RX 590 ROG Strix Gaming with the code designation ROG-STRIX-RX590-8G-GAMING. The code name clearly indicates that the Radeon RX 590 will receive 8 GB of video memory. Apparently, it will be a memory type GDDR5 with a frequency of 2000 MHz and it will be connected to the 256-bit bus.
More details about the new product, unfortunately, is not yet known. It is rumored that Radeon RX 590 will be built on a new graphics processor with Polaris architecture. From a recent leak it became known that this GPU will offer higher clock speeds than the Polaris 20 used in Radeon RX 580 graphics cards. This indirectly indicates that the new GPU has better energy efficiency, which means that it may be produced by a 12-nm process. The actual GPU for AMD graphics cards are produced by 14-nm process technology.
