Computex 2019: Corsair Force Series MP600 PCIe Gen4 x4 drives
Corsair introduced the Force Series MP600 solid-state drives, one of the world's first PCIe Gen4 x4 storage devices, as part of Computex 2019.
The PCIe Gen4 specification was published at the end of 2017. Compared with PCIe 3.0, this standard provides for the doubling of capacity from 8 to 16 GT/s (gigatransfer per second). Thus, the data transfer rate for a single line is about 2 GB / s.
Corsair Force Series MP600 drives are made in the format of M. 2. Microchips of 3D TLC NAND flash memory (three bits of information in one cell) and Phison PS5016-E16 controller are involved.
The declared speed of sequential reading of information reaches 4950 MB / s, the speed of sequential writing — 4250 MB/s.
Drives are endowed with a fairly large cooling radiator. There is no information about capacity options at the moment.
The sale of solid-state drives Corsair Force Series MP600 will go in July this year.
