HP EX950 can hold 2 TB of data
HP introduced the EX950 high-performance solid-state drives designed for the consumer market. The products were announced at CES 2019 in Las Vegas.
Made in the new format M. 2 2280 — dimensions are 22 × 80 mm. Applied 64-layer microchips flash memory 3D TLC NAND and a Silicon Motion controller SM2262EN.
Drives are solutions PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe 1.3. The EX950 family includes three models with a capacity of 512 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB.
All devices provide the speed of sequential reading of information up to 3500 MB / s. the speed of sequential writing reaches 2250 MB / s for the younger version and 2900 MB/s for the other two.
The index of IOPS (I/o operations per second) at arbitrary data reading varies from 390 thousand to 410 thousand, at arbitrary record-from 370 thousand to 380 thousand.
HP EX950 solid-state drives are suitable for use in portable and desktop computers. About the price of new products, unfortunately, nothing is reported.
