Intel Core i9-9900K has set several records at a frequency of 6.9 GHz
At yesterday's event, Intel invited not only journalists but also professional overclockers to demonstrate their skills on the just presented processors of the 9th generation Core (Coffee Lake Refresh).
American master of overclocking with the pseudonym Splave using liquid nitrogen directly at the event managed to disperse the flagship processor Core I9-9900K to a frequency of 6.9 GHz across all eight cores. The voltage on the core at the same time was unthinkable 1.7 V. at the same time, overclocker said that before on some samples of Core i9-9900K he managed to reach the frequency of 7.1 GHz for all cores, and one core was able to conquer the frequency of 7.4 GHz.
Intel also presented several test results of overclocked Core i9-9900K. The company noted that all the results were a record among the results of eight-core processors, and the last column of the table shows how new processor surpassed previous Champions. Some results turned out to be absolute world records for these tests.
Splave noted that the Core i9-9900K is able to conquer a frequency of 5.3 GHz when using a liquid cooling system with a voltage setting on the core of the order of 1.4 V.
Apparently, users can easily get their Core i9-9900K to work at a frequency of 5.0 GHz or even higher for all eight cores.
