IRDM M. 2 solid state drives
|Wilk Elektronik SA, which owns the Goodram and IRDM brands, has introduced a new line of IRDM m solid-state drives.2, equipped with a PCIe 3x4 interface and a DRAM buffer. The drives support the NVMe 1 Protocol.3. |
It is claimed that these drives are six times more efficient than SSDS with a SATA 6 GB/s interface, and the presence of a DRAM buffer increases stability under load.
The drives use TLC 3D NAND flash memory and an eight-channel Phison E12 controller. The range includes models with capacity of 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB. The sequential read speed in the case of a 256 GB SSD reaches 3000 MB/s, in other cases — 3200 MB/s. The sequential write speed reaches 1000 MB/s for a 256 GB SSD, and 2000 MB/s for a 512 GB SSD. 1 and 2 TB drives write data at speeds of up to 3000 MB/s.
Performance on read-mode random access operations reaches 149,000 IOPS for a 256 GB SSD, 295,000 IOPS for a 512 GB SSD, 250,000 IOPS for a 1 TB SSD, and 490,000 IOPS for a 2 TB SSD. Performance on write-mode random access operations reaches 250,000 IOPS for a 256 GB SSD and 500,000 IOPS for all other volumes.
The manufacturer does not provide a resource, but only specifies the warranty period-five years. The prices of 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB drives are approximately 30, 49, 92 and 181 euros, respectively.
