According to him, the MediaTek processor for high-end smartphones will debut before The Chinese New year, which will be celebrated on February 12. In other words, the chip will be officially unveiled within two months.
Unfortunately, the head of MediaTek did not go into details about the product. According to rumors, the processor will include high-performance ARM Cortex-A78 cores, and the solution will be manufactured at TSMC using 6-nanometer technology. Of course, the new product will include a 5g modem.
The upcoming processor will lead the Dimension family. Now at its top is the Dimension 1000+ chip, which contains a Quartet of ARM Cortex-A77 and ARM Cortex-A55 computing cores, an ARM Mali-G77 MC9 graphics accelerator, and a 5G modem.
It should be noted, however, that most of the flagship smartphones in 2021 will use the mentioned Snapdragon 888 platform. devices on it are prepared by ASUS, Black Shark, Lenovo, LG, Meizu, Motorola, Nubia, Realme, OnePlus, OPPO, Sharp, Xiaomi and ZTE.
