MESA-sub-screen Touch ID in iPhone 13
|Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from Tianfeng International made another forecast for Apple smartphones that will be released next year. |
According to the analyst, next year under-screen fingerprint sensors will continue to gain popularity, they will be chosen by more and more manufacturers of Android smartphones. Apple will also use a sub-screen fingerprint scanner in the iPhone 13.
As for Apple, the company has long been developing a sub-screen fingerprint scanner for the iPhone, as indicated by many relevant patents. The source reports that the touch ID sub-screen fingerprint sensor in the iPhone 13 is codenamed MESA.
Back in 2019, Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that Apple would release at least one iPhone with a fingerprint scanner under the screen surface in 2021. Now the analyst, referring to his own informants, confirmed his last year's forecast.
Some reviewers do not recommend buying the flagship smartphone iPhone 12 Pro Max precisely because of the lack of a fingerprint scanner, which is very relevant in the era of the pandemic.
