Motorola will simplify the names of its smartphones
|Motorola will change the approach to creating the names of its devices. With this step, the company wants to simplify the choice of smartphones for its users, since their range is quite wide. This was reported by the portal Gizmochina with reference to the insider Evan Blass (Evan Blass). |
In the US, the company has recently released several smartphones under the Moto G brand and all of them have the prefix "2021". Now Motorola wants to use a two-digit model identification system, similar to what Samsung does in different Galaxy families.
According to Evan Blass, the flagship Motorola Edge S (alternative name Nio), which is now sold in China, will debut in other markets as the Moto G100. The Motorola Capri will simply become the Moto G10, and the Capri Plus will become the Moto G30. It is also expected to release a smartphone codenamed Java (Moto G20), the device will have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory.
Motorola began to regain its former popularity in the smartphone market with the release of the first model in the Moto G family in 2013. In addition to the Moto G, the company had many offshoots, for example, Motorola G9, Motorola Moto Z2, Motorola Moto E6, Motorola Edge and others. Such a diverse range of models is partly confusing for users. Therefore, the company decided to simplify the naming principle
