Nokia 8.1 can already be upgraded to the beta version of the current Android 11
HMD Global published its plans to upgrade Nokia smartphones to Android 11 back in October. However, so far none of the devices have received a SOFTWARE update. Today, a video appeared on the Network showing a Nokia 8.1 smartphone running Android 11.

We are not talking about custom firmware. The video, uploaded to YouTube by one of the users of the XDA Developers forum, not only demonstrates the work of the latest firmware on the 2018 smartphone, but also contains instructions that anyone can use to install the closed beta version of Android 11 on Nokia 8.1. The update contains the December security patch. It is assumed that the stable version of the SOFTWARE will be released at the end of the month, if no serious flaws are found in the testing process. It is worth noting that the stable operation of the smartphone running the SOFTWARE shown in the video is not guaranteed.

Recall that Nokia 8.1 is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset. the Smartphone boasts a 6.18-inch display with a diagonal of 6.18 inches and a Full HD+resolution. The main camera of the device is represented by a dual module consisting of 13-and 12-MP sensors. Initially, the smartphone was released running Android 9.
