|QNAP Systems introduced storage with a TS-h973AX QuTS network connection. It is interesting because it has nine storage bays, five of which are designed for devices of the 3.5 — inch size, and four-for devices of the 2.5-inch size. All nine bays support SATA 6 GB/s drives, and two of the 2.5-inch drive bays also support U. 2 NVMe drives with a PCIe Gen 3 x4 interface. The total storage capacity can be increased using a variety of expansion chassis offered by QNAP. |
The TS-h973AX is based on a Quad-core AMD Ryzen V1500B processor capable of executing up to eight instruction streams, operating at a frequency of up to 2.2 GHz. Two versions of QNAP TS-h973AX are offered-with 32 and 8 GB of RAM. Since standard so-DIMM DDR4 modules are installed in two slots, in the second case, the amount of memory can be increased independently. The maximum size is 32 GB.
The advantages of the NAS include the presence of a 10 GbE port and two 2.5 GbE ports with aggregation and redundancy support. In addition, it is equipped with four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one of which is connected to the USB-C connector.
The drives are cooled by a 140 mm fan. The storage unit is equipped with an external 120W power supply. With dimensions of 183 × 225 × 224 mm empty it weighs 3.52 kg. The manufacturer does not provide a price.
