Quarterly deliveries of Xiaomi, OPPO and Vivo smartphones break records
The Counterpoint Technology Market Research published the results of a study of the global smartphone market in the third quarter of this year.
It is reported that in the period from July to September inclusive, 386.8 million "smart" mobile devices were sold globally. This is 3% less than the result of a year ago: then the shipment amounted to 398.8 million units.
Samsung remains the market leader with 72.3 million delivered smartphones. At the same time, the share of the South Korean giant decreased from 21% to 19% for the year.
It is noted that the leading Chinese suppliers are actively strengthening their positions. Thus, in second place is Huawei with 52.0 million units sold. The company's annual share increased from 10% to 13 %.
