Samsung has changed its mind about closing its LCD panel business
|Samsung intended to completely stop producing LCD panels at the very end of this year. However, it has now been revealed that the Korean giant has revised its plans. |
Samsung is not going to stay in this business for a long time, but the full closure has been postponed to March next year. Until then, production will be active at the factory in Asana.
The reason is the COVID-19 pandemic. It has forced people to study and work more actively from home, and this has increased the demand for various mobile devices, for which QLED panels, which Samsung is fully going to switch to, are still too expensive.
