SanDisk will remain on the market
Last week, it was reported that Western Digital Corporation plans to abolish the SanDisk brand from January 1, and rename the company itself to Western Digital Liability Company and transform it into a limited liability company. However, the news was exaggerated.

A Western Digital representative said that this renaming only applies to the Japanese division of SanDisk. In addition, Western Digital has officially stated that the SanDisk brand will not cease to exist, and the branding will remain the same outside of Japan. The SanDisk brand will continue to produce memory cards, USB drives, solid-state drives, and other familiar products.

Recall that the American Corporation Western Digital Corporation acquired the company SanDisk Corporation in 2016 for $16 billion. The latter still retains its name and associated trademarks.
