Six-core Ryzen 3000 entry-level is faster Ryzen 7 2700X

As the case approaches the announcement of the new 7nm Ryzen 3000 (Matisse) processors, more and more intriguing information comes to the network. This time in the base of the benchmark Geekbench surfaced the results of testing 6-core 12-stream sample Ryzen new generation microarchitecture Zen 2. Apparently, the processor with such characteristics will be assigned by AMD to the number of proposals of the initial level of the future model range, but its performance indicators are still interesting. The fact that such a six-core Ryzen third generation was faster than the older model of the second generation, Ryzen 7 2700X.

The frequency of the tested six-core Ryzen 3000 were very modest — 3.2 GHz in the base and 4.0 GHz in turbo mode. If we rely on early leaks about the composition of the future model range, the processor with such characteristics can be called Ryzen 3 3300 and the price in the region of $100. However, it is still impossible to be completely sure of this, since the appearance of this processor in the Geekbench database surprisingly coincided with the messages of computer OEMs that they began to receive from AMD samples of Ryzen 5 3600 — processor, which, in their opinion, in the updated model range will belong to the initial level.
