South Korea is actively developing a 5g network
|Many countries are beginning to implement 5G networks, which have become a new feature of developed countries. South Korea has made great strides in this direction. |
According to TheKoreaHerald, South Korea's Ministry of science and ICT confirmed that the number of 5G users at the end of October was 9.98 million. In other words there are already more than 10 million 5G users in South Korea today
This is a significant increase of 735 113 people compared with the previous month. 5G users in the country account for 14.2% of all mobile device users. South Korea was one of the first to introduce commercial 5G networks.
It is worth noting that the 5g user base in South Korea will continue to grow rapidly, as the country recently released iPhone 12 smartphones that support fifth-generation networks. At the moment, according to experts, Apple has already sold more than 600,000 iPhone 12 models in the South Korean market.
The growth in the number of 5G users has also led to a decrease in the number of 4G users. Currently, there are 53.9 million 4G users in South Korea, which is almost 400 thousand less than in the previous month.
