The authors of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare were accused of copying the image
Writer and photographer Clayton Haugen (Clayton Haugen) filed a lawsuit against the publisher Activision Blizzard and the studio Infinity Ward. The plaintiff accuses the creators of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare of copying the image of the heroine, invented by him for Cade Janus from the film November Renaissance ("November Renaissance").

The role of Janus was invited to model Alex Zedra( Alex Zedra), who later took part in the creation of the image of Mara from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Moreover, the developers have attracted the same makeup artist. He largely repeated the appearance of Cade, although unintentionally, and according to the recommendations of representatives of Infinity Ward.

The plaintiff also said that the developers used not only images of the heroine, but also similar clothing. As a confirmation, Haugen attached a number of photos:

At the moment, it is not known whether the court will take into account the similarity of both images, since the creation of a character with the participation of the same model is not in itself a violation. Military clothing and equipment are standard in many movies and games.

It is worth noting that in January, indie studio NOWWA made a similar accusation, but already against Respawn Entertainment. The developers claim that the character Fuse from Apex Legends is based on the Hunter from their project BulletVille.
