The warranty does not apply to PlayStation 5 imported from other countries
|The next-generation Sony PlayStation 5 console officially went on sale in the middle of this month, but due to a shortage, prices for the console in all regions of the world immediately increased significantly. |
The next-generation console has not yet officially gone on sale in India, against which fans began to buy consoles brought from other countries through unofficial channels. In this regard, Sony India made an official statement saying that this is a bad idea.
The fact is that the warranty for PlayStation 5 imported from other countries does not apply. And this policy of Sony is valid not only in India, but also in all other countries of the world. Of course, an unofficial store can give a guarantee on its own, but Sony warns of possible pitfalls if repairs are necessary. And, given the current price of the PlayStation 5 from Resellers, this is a really important point.
In turn, Sony is struggling to meet consumer demand for the console, however, according to analysts, the shortage of the PlayStation 5 will continue until at least the beginning of next year.
