Xiaomi introduced Mi Mix 3
As expected, Xiaomi introduced Mi Mix 3, the last member of Its flagship family of fullscreen smartphones. To achieve the maximum display area on the front panel, the device, unlike its predecessors, uses the method of sliding on a special mechanism of front cameras. This allows you to get rid of the screen cutout, which sin the latest iPhone and many other modern devices.
However, unlike Vivo Nex or Oppo Find X, which use a similar design, retractable mi Mix 3 cameras are not equipped with electric motors. The Executive Director of the Chinese company Lei Jun compares the design with old mobile phones in the slider format. In order to hide the cameras, the device is really divided into two parts.
The previous three smartphones of Mi Mix series were the first attempts of Xiaomi to minimize the frames around the screen, but their disadvantages were inconvenient placement of the front camera at the bottom. And with the spread of smartphones with cut-out screen surprise "frameless" design is becoming more difficult: even the Xiaomi has applied the cut-out screen in Mi 8.
Mi Mix 3 is designed to keep the innovative spirit of the series: according to the manufacturer, the ratio of the screen area to the front plane of the device is 93.4 %. While in the lower part is still preserved the chin, although was 4.5 mm less compared to the precursor Mix Mi 2S.
From the point of view of the hardware characteristics of the Mi 3 Mix also has plenty to offer. First of all, it is 10 GB of RAM in a special edition, which makes it the second smartphone with such a volume of RAM after the recently presented Xiaomi Black Shark Helo. You can also mention the presence of high-speed 10-W wireless charger included (used battery at 3200 mAh) and the promised version with 5g support for the European market (will be released next year).
The phone has a fingerprint sensor on the back, so unlike the Oppo Find X, you don't have to push the camera out every time you want to unlock the device. The main 24mp front camera is complemented by a 2MP secondary-obviously for face unlock functions, shallow depth of field effects and so on. There is support for SuperPixel technology and soft light flash, HDR and 1080p video recording.
