ZOTAC has prepared two versions of the GeForce RTX 2080 AMP Extreme
Graphics card manufacturer MSI has unveiled a marketing sketches and key features of its most advanced version of the adapter GeForce RTX 2080 — AMP Extreme, models with part number ZT-T20800B-10P. In addition to the basic version of the retail sales channels will be extended alternative called AMP Extreme Core (SKU ZT-T20800C-10P). The prefix "Core", most likely, signals less serious factory overclocking of the graphics core. GPU frequency also not specified for any of the presented accelerators.
ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 AMP Extreme will occupy the space of three expansion slots in the system unit, as well as 324 mm in length and 136 mm in width. It is noted that for the newer cards need at least a 650-watt power supply with dual 8-pin PCI-E cables to Power either a pair of 6-pin PCI-E Power and a pair of 4-pin Molex (power supply adapter included in the package). On the circuit board of the accelerator is soldered elements of the "16 + 4" phase supply system according to the number of phases RTX GeForce 2080 AMP Extreme is superior to the reference model NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.
The pre-installed cooler consists of three 90 mm fans, a two-section aluminum radiator, five to six copper nickel-plated heat pipes and a decorative casing with built-in multi-zone RGB-illumination Spectra 2.0. The latter is configured through the proprietary utility ZOTAC FireStorm.
GeForce RTX 2080 AMP Extreme has 4 DisplayPort 1.4 ports, a single HDMI 2.0 b and USB 3.1 Type-C/VirtualLink. The recommended price of the new accelerator will be known later. Its version with the prefix Core will be slightly cheaper, but may be less suitable for overclocking GPU and memory chips.
